Officially recognized under registration number N° 00001827/RDA/J06/SAAJP/BAPP, the Cameroon Artificial Intelligence Society (CAIS) was established to structure and energize the scholarly community in Artificial Intelligence within Cameroon.
As a non-political and non-profit organization, CAIS’s primary mission is to promote and foster the development, excellence, and influence of research, education, and the production of AI solutions by Cameroonians. We are committed to ensuring that these advancements contribute significantly to Cameroon’s development.
Our goal is to unite all key AI stakeholders across the national territory and beyond. To accomplish this mission, CAIS aims to be a platform for consultation and synergy among its diverse members.
Who can join CAIS?
According to our statutes, membership is open to the following profiles:
- Lecturer-researchers (including those on fixed-term contracts) whose teaching and research focus on AI.
- AI researchers employed by a research institute.
- PhD students enrolled in their 3rd year (or those with at least one publication in a computer science or applied mathematics conference/journal on an AI topic).
- Engineers whose professional activities within an organization (public or private) are centered on AI.
